Church Slavic

Improve this page! Feel free to draft a pull request on GitHub.

This page offers basic guidance on typesetting a LaTeX document in the Church Slavic language using the Cyrillic script.

The churchslavonic package is not fully compatible with babel, but many of its features work. Just try.

Support with ini locale file

Here is a minimal sample file with churchslavic as the main language (assuming luatex, which is the recommended engine, and babel ≥24.14, although it may work with previous versions).

\documentclass[churchslavic]{article}

\usepackage[provide=*]{babel}

\babelfont{rm}{NewComputerModern10}

\begin{document}

Local name $=$ црькъвьнословѣньскъ ѩзыкъ

Chapter $=$ \chaptername

Today $=$ \today

\end{document}
