I've re-worked some of expl3.dtx to try to make things clearer. There
will probably need to be more work, but I'm going to get this to CTAN as
a snapshot in a second (I want to take advantage of the current interest).

I've tried to make expl3.pdf more focussed on what works *now*, and have
tried to help outside users.  I hope no-one minds that quite a bit of
text has changed: as  say, this is probably "pass one" of a few.
