In the LaTeX distribution there are a bunch of files = that describe how to
manually install LaTeX with a certain TeX implementation.

More exactly they describe how this was done some time ago. As pointed = out
during beta of the new LaTeX release most of these files are no longer = correct.

As such files are contributed and cover distributions we do not own, = there is
no way for us to maintain them.

question is how useful there are these days anyway. However, before = sending
them to /dev/null I thought I run this question on this list as I guess = if at
all then this list will have people knowing (and perhaps even = supporting)
still existing implementations.

So if you are the maintainer of any such distribution or otherwise feel = you
can bring one or the other file up-to-date, please send me an = updated
version. All others will be marked obsolete and removed some time in = the
future
