i've done a few, as you'll have seen: mostly ones which already have
catalogue entries, but i've created one new directory and others are
to come.

it seems to me that the piecemeal operation is just too fiddly.  would
you mind if i moved all remaining files in one go, and set up a fake
replace of macros/generic, or whatever?
