Very often one deals with entities consisting of a short head and a body consisting of one or several paragraphs. Examples include chapters, section, list items, theorems, and proofs. Would it be a good idea to provide a template performing the common tasks? I made up three different templates (no, I haven't implemented them yet): o "inline": The head is included at the beginning of the first paragraph as in theorems or descriptions. o "above": The head is put above the body as in sections. o "left": The head is put left to the first line of the body as in list items (itemize, enumerate). The template takes an argument containing the text of the head, typesets it, and prepares the paragraph formatting. Attributes could contain: h&j, pshape, head format, body declarations (i.e., fonts), head indent, head-sep/head-skip, above-skip, below-skip Any comments? Hello,

reading about paragraph formatting I had the idea for = a template for
"headed paragraphs".

Very often one deals with entities consisting of a = short head and a
body consisting of one or several paragraphs. = Examples include chapters,
section, list items, theorems, and proofs. Would it = be a good idea to
provide a template performing the common tasks? I = made up three
different templates (no, I haven't implemented them = yet):

o "inline": The head is included at = the beginning of the first
paragraph as in theorems or = descriptions.

o "above": The head is put above the = body as in sections.

o "left": The head is put left to the = first line of the body as in
   list items (itemize, enumerate).

The template takes an argument containing the text of = the head,
typesets it, and prepares the paragraph = formatting.

Attributes could contain: h&j, pshape, head = format, body declarations
(i.e., fonts), head indent, head-sep/head-skip, = above-skip, below-skip

Any comments?

Achim
