If not, please just forget. I installed a EmTex-version on a 386SX 16 MHz, DOS 6.0 -Machine. Everthing was working right. But it was much to slow, so I bought a new computer (Pentium AMD-K5 166 MHz) System: Windows 95 Memory: Base: 640K Extended: 15360K other: 384K emTex: htex386 Version 3.14159 So the problems began: When I want to start LaTex by latex.bat @ECHO OFF HTEX386 &LATEX %1 %2 %3 %4 %5 %6 %7 %8 %9 I get the message: -> DYN: out of memory Now my question: How can I change my CONFIG.SYS, AUTOEXEC.BAT, SET_TEX.BAT or whatever to solve my problem? Thanks for your help. my config.sys: SWITCHES=/F SET PATH=C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND;C:\WINDOWS;C:\;d:\emx\bin;d:\emtex\bin;d:\emtex\texs hell DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\HIMEM.SYS /TESTMEM:OFF DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\EMM386.EXE noems DOS=HIGH, UMB, NOAUTO DEVICEHIGH=C:\WINDOWS\IFSHLP.SYS DEVICEHIGH=C:\CD_DRIVE\CDROM_TR.SYS /D:CDROM COUNTRY=049,850,C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND\COUNTRY.SYS FILESHIGH = 50 FCBSHIGH=32,32 STACKSHIGH=64,256 BUFFERSHIGH=20 LASTDRIVEHIGH=F my autoexec.bat: @ECHO OFF SET DIRCMD= /P /OGN LH C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND\KEYB GR,,C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND\KEYBOARD.SYS set_tex.bat my set_tex.bat @ECHO OFF @set emx=d:\emx\bin\emx.exe @set dpmimem=maxmem 4096 @SET EMTEXDIR=d:\EMTEX @SET DVIDRVINPUT=d:\EMTEX\DOC @SET DVIDRVFONTS=d:\TEXFONTS @SET DVIDRVGRAPH=d:\EMTEX\DOC @SET INDEXSTYLE=d:\EMTEX\IDXSTYLE @SET MFJOBOPT=/3 ======================================================================= MICHAEL KOENIG cand.math.
