But is this really necessary, as all math symbols and names should properly be typeset in an graphical environment, separate from the text environment. For example, the name $\sin$ would have extra space around it, in order to bring out that this is not proper text. So would not non-matching text and math fonts rather help bringing out this difference even more? Hans Aberg
