As for amslatex my information is that it will be ready in about 6 weeks. Given the limited human resources we can't contact everybody in advance (in some sense this list and the beta test is a contact) but we tried and try still to make any upgrades (if necessary) as painless as possible. see also the information on the bug fix distribution coming up frank
