I would like to clarify this statement a bit: the announcement of LaTeX2e says that releases are distributed twice a year on fixed dates (spring/fall distribution). this does not mean that a) during this test release we will not correct bugs and distribute them asap b) that major bugs in the real implementation will only be fixed every have year. We will probably provide patches in such case but let's hope that we have found most bugs soon :-) --- we are currently just getting organised again, so bug corrections will come (soon) Frank Mittelbach
