There lies the problem. latex-bugs is an address, not a list that we can
subscribe to and see what that might affect us is going wrong/is
incomplete/is incompatible with style xxx, etc.

For instance, I installed latex2e and after a while discovered that it was
setting \lefthyphenmin and \righthyphenmin to zero.  I only noticed this when
it hyphenated a word after its first letter. The reason was that for some
time latex has been picking up a file lhyphen.tex, which for us had english
hyphenation patterns in, ie, UK as opposed to US. However, latex2e picked up
an old copy of hyphen.tex with US patterns in, and did the wrong thing.

How many others have had this problem?
