Yes, you do: if you have the quoted times.sty (which just inputs nftimes)
you cannot use an old format on the same site. On our VAX eg I do have
NFSS2 formats around, but I frequently resort to old formats when I submit
something; most other users haven't even switched to the new formats.
Therefore times.sty is just the old fashioned one and when I use NFSS2
I do have to use nftimes.sty explicitly. As Frank Poppe mentioned, this
kind of situation is not uncommon.
