My reaction is this, from the point of view of somebody who is trying to keep a TeX system alive and more-or-less up-to-date, both on an Atari at home and on a VAX at work (for several other people). I have no problem replacing files now and then. If switching from NFSS to NFSS2 forces me to replace the times.sty which I have been using as well, so be it. But I'd hate to edit all my input files, replacing all references of times.sty with nftimes.sty. And I'd even more hate it to tell the other people here that they should do so, just because they now have a "better" LaTeX. I'd prefer to make the switch without anybody noticing much about it - if they don't want to know it. _____________________________________________________________________________ Frank Poppe tel: +31 70 3209323 Institute for Road Safety Research SWOV fax: +31 70 3201261 ,,, ,, ,, ,, .... ,, ,, mail: PO Box 170 ||,,, || || || :: :: || || 2260 AD Leidschendam ,,,|~ ||,'|,~ :: :' ||,~ the Netherlands
