Status: R X-Status: X-Keywords: X-UID: 1018 Thank you for the report. I would consider the input incorrect, since it makes no sense for a \section command to appear inside an enumerate environment. Admittedly, the manual does not explicitly state that this such input is incorrect. (I would appreciate any suggestions on how the manual could indicate this, without listing innumerable such nonsensical constructions.) And of course, an error message would be more helpful than an infinite loop. I hope that LaTeX3 will provide such error messages. Leslie Lamport
