Whereas ISO seems to call them precisely what LaTeX 2.09 does (in
guidelines to preparation and presentation of standards, or whatever
it's called).

PS - since I joined the staff here, I qualify for the mailer sending
out my full name.  This has two effects: (a) I had to resubscribe to
