Not much remains to be done to make it ready, the main question is when will I find maybe two or three hours to tie up some loose ends and write the announcement (Answer: probably later this week). Printed copies of the task list in almost-ready form were given out at the July TUG meeting in Portland to people who attended a LaTeX3 informational session. It is a LaTeX document which we plan to make available as widely as possible, for example by FTP and mail server from George Greenwade's site (Sam Houston State University, Texas, USA). Further details will be forthcoming in announcements to all the relevant mail lists and newsgroups we happen to know about, including LATEX-L, INFO-TeX, TeXhax, comp.text.tex, EURO-TeX, and so forth.
