No garantie whatsoever is given that any of the implemented features and misfeatures will survive in the first release. It is therefore only for testing purposes. Nevertheless please report bugs and suggestions. Files of NFSS for slitex: sfonts.new to be used instead of sfonts.tex slitex.doc to be used instead of slitex.tex sfontdef.doc a font definition example file. You may want to make your own variant nwslides.doc a document styles to be used instead of slides.sty There isn't much of documentation, just some comments from the time when I made this version, but you must rename the file to .sty All other files can be used from the offical NFSS, that is oldlfont and newlfont etc will work. To make a format one can use preload.min, (but using preload.ori of course will not work:-) and basefont, or oldlfont or newlfont. Using nwslides instead of slides should work with a format using the old sfonts. However one needs to remake the format because slitex has changed. Open problems: 1) nwslides is made from an older slides.doc version and therefore misses some of the updates. Same for slitex. 2) The \set@font@size@parms function may need a belowshortdisplayskip parameter. On the other hand it may not, as a style that really wants to set it could do so after calling it. 3) I made something like an interface to the old sfonts.tex. But I couldn't test it very well because of the lack of suitable slide sources that do not make use of advantages of NFSS. Therefore it may contain a good number of errors and also may be unexeptable for other reasons. You try please. 4) This is alpha testing so be prepared for errors (and overfull hboxes Phil :-) Happy trying Frank ------_=_NextPart_001_01C19443.984481E4 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable slitex nffs alpha

This slitex implementation of NFSS is a non-official = alpha testing
version.  No garantie whatsoever is given that = any of the implemented
features and misfeatures will survive in the first = release.  It is
therefore only for testing purposes. Nevertheless = please report bugs
and suggestions.

Files of NFSS for slitex:

= sfonts.new          &nb= sp; to be used instead of sfonts.tex
= slitex.doc          &nb= sp; to be used instead of slitex.tex
sfontdef.doc  =         a font definition example = file. You may want
          &nbs= p;            = ; to make your own variant
  nwslides.doc  =         a document styles to be used = instead of slides.sty
=         =         There isn't = much of documentation, just some
          &nbs= p;            = ; comments from the time when I made this
&nbs= p;            = ; version, but you must rename the file to .sty

All other files can be used from the offical NFSS, = that is oldlfont
and newlfont etc will work. To make a format one can = use preload.min,

Using nwslides instead of slides should work with a = format using the

misses some of the updates. Same for slitex.

  2) The \set@font@size@parms function may need = a
belowshortdisplayskip parameter. On the other hand it = may not, as a
style that really wants to set it could do so after = calling it.

  3) I made something like an interface to the = old sfonts.tex. But I
couldn't test it very well because of the lack of = suitable slide
sources that do not make use of advantages of NFSS. = Therefore it may
contain a good number of errors and also may be = unexeptable for other

Happy trying
