But still. its not impossible. you could do ity now by getting yourself a transputer co-processor, getting MF running on that (fast), and then directing all input to the printer through the perpetual MF machine. but i was thinking more of next-gneration PS learning from MF, and being a better rasterizer. perssonally, I cant see whats wrong with PS as it is, but I'm not much of a font person. what I am sure of is that this a dead end ofr LaTeX 3. OK, fix the NFSS to be more flexible in specifying fonts (more or less as Frank is now doing), but leave the TeX-magsteps stuff alone. as long as NFSS can cope with either a PS-type world, or a TeX-type world, I dont see a great need to cope with all the vagaries of mixing the two. if there were a better PS maths font, I cant imagine ever using MF fonts again (though if the printer engine used MF as a rasterizer, and MF-type sources files, fine. I just want rid of theose directories full of pk filess) sebastian ------_=_NextPart_001_01C19443.9190573C Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Re: RE:magsteps
