But: sectional units, their headers, and tables of contents, etc. are the conceptually most complicated and important issues for the re-implementation of LaTeX and the style file interface. We will not produce any reasonable result unless we do these things right. I'm not saying that our final product should deal with every case I can think of. But up to now, we saw next to no reaction to Frank's proposal for a generic header macro. So, let's start discussing this again, so that we reach a decision in the NEAR future. -Rainer
