Also, A two paragraph item in the sequential environment should presumable look like: Firstly, the two forms are quite different for numerous reasons. For example, the second, and following paragraphs of an item are indented. Also, less space appears between paragraphs than between items. (2) It is most definitely logically distinct. Even if quote gave us *exactly* the desired appearance, the markup should be different, e.g., each item beginning with \item etc. -dh
