Some time ago I asked for a list of commands in the
current style files. My idea was to discuss which
commands should be supported by which document classes.
Such a list could be used as a starter and go on from
there.

Nelson was so kind to send me two lists (sorted by
document styles and by command names). I like to
distribute those lists to you.  However, there is no
use in discussing such huge list so I would like to ask
if someone of you like to prepare a proposal for, let's
say the article class (first), containing commands with
comments which should be supported by all article
documents. Nico made some interesting remarks in one of
his mails, maybe he ...?

Please reply to the list and not to me if you are
willing to spend some time in the preparation of such a
list so that others know this, too. Maybe somebody else
can tackle letters, proceedings, books etc. at the same
time?

I hope everybody of you is eager to grap one of the
classes and make a first proposal which can then be
discussed on this list.

Points of discussion should be first what sort of
constructs having this and that meaning and afterwards
what sort of syntax  and what names.
