But there is a way around: Princeton university set up a FTP server on BITNET. Send a normal mail message containing the word HELP to BITFTP at PUCC.BITNET. I should mention that this service is already rather overloaded so that it is probably not wise to use it too extensively. But it works, you get the answer within one day. >PLEASE: could someone just send this stuff to me via e-Mail? > I can do so, only that I don't have the stuff on this machine. I don't know if I can manage to send it tomorrow, but early next week you'll have it (unless someone else is faster than I am). >--------------------------------- >This last bit is just for Nelson: > >PLEASE: could some TUG committee arrange for an up-to-date file archive > that contains EVERYTHING and also works for users without > ftp facilities? Clarkson and Aston have almost reached that state. Besides, this is a rather time consuming task, as I found out recently. I'm now partly in charge of the TeX archive on the listserv machine here at Heidelberg. It is true that part of the time spent is due to the ideosyncrasies of this VM/CMS operatingsystem and the listservitself. But a lot of time goes into the organization itself. Rainer
