So, here's what's going on: 1. The mail redistribution service (i.e. the listserv) generates a "Reply-To:" field in the header of every mail message it sends. 2. Previously, this field contained the address of the mailing list (LATEX-L@DHDURZ1.BITNET) causing every reply going to all the people on the list. 3. Now, I changed this, so that the "Reply-To:" field contains the address of the original sender of the mail. 4. This means: if you use the "reply" button on your machine, your answer will probably only go to the original sender.
