One of the items was \@startsection. In developing the Dutch document styles -- see TUGboat 10 #3 -- we ran into trouble with the generic sectioning commands: there are features missing. Now I'm quite willing to help F&R and re-implement \@startsection, but 1) is someone working on it already (if so: please accept my requests for extensions) 2) does anyone have ideas about a new implementation?
